God is Out of This World
Mark 6:30-44
1. A Compassionate God.
God desires the supernatural.
In the verse:
- Jesus had compassion over the people.
- Jesus was drawn towards His people.
- Jesus put aside His personal needs to meet our needs.
God desires to perform the supernatural for us because He is compassionate.
2. A Generous God.
God is capable of performing the supernatural.
In the verse:
- They were given as much as they wanted.
- They were satisfied.
- Jesus kept multiplying the food for them.
- He knew exactly how much they would eat and multiplied the exact amount!
- He is capable because He is generous.
Jesus only fed the people who were there with Him. They were hungry and their needs were met. The presence of God brings change and brings the supernatural.
Reflection Questions
1. How committed are you in following Jesus?
2. What is hindering you from following him completely?3. Who is your focus?
