The Supernatural

#1 The Identity of Jesus

This miracle yet again shows God's majesty.

He reaffirms himself as the Christ and as the Son of God

Matthew 14: 33
Then those who were in the boat worshipped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

Acknowledge him as the Son of God

#2 The Authority of Jesus

This miracle shows Jesus' authority over creation to His disciples.

Psalms 89: 9

You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them.

Isaiah 51:15
For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar-- the LORD Almighty is his name.

Because we know that Jesus is more than just a prophet.
He is God!

He had dominion over the forces of nature.

#3 The Disciples of Jesus

The most amazing thing about this miracle is that Peter also walked on the water!
By coming into a relationship, knowing His identity and acknowledging that Jesus is Lord of all, we receive His authority

Matthew 28: 18
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Only through Jesus alone do we have this authority and power.

What does walking on water mean to you?
What are the wind and the waves?
Circumstances.

Why are some people living defeated lives, when Christ is victorious!?

Supernatural becomes our natural as we step over the waves of our circumstances and what is naturally expected, and overcome it with Christ!

What stops us?
Fear and doubt.

Fear
Of Failure.
Of the Storm.
Of the Unknown.

Doubt
Your Faith.

Your Abilities.
God.

Fear stopped the other disciples from stepping out.
Doubt caused Peter to Sink.

Jesus says "COME"

For He will stay with us throughout the storm!

So in which part of your life do you want to walk on water?
