Murder- means to kill.
My first job is to preserve life!
We are all made in God's image!
- Genesis 9: 6
- Why is that a reason?
• For God made human beings, he gave us life, so he alone has the right to take it away.
• For God made human beings, he gave us life, so he alone has the right to take it away.
• In His own image, we represent him on earth. But only Jesus is the perfect image of God. Ambassadors of Christ. Each person is important to him and we would not intentionally destroy something important to someone we love.

Anger- the root of murder
It's not a matter about getting angry, but how we respond to it.
How we respond has serious consequences.

Anger leads to bitterness and hatred and that could lead us to do something terrible
In the bible, anger usually ends up with murder.
What can we do?
There is judgment but Jesus offers forgiveness.
1 John 3: 14- 15
14 Our love for each other proves that we have gone from death to life. But if you don’t love each other, you are still under the power of death.15 If you hate each other, you are murderers, and we know that murderers do not have eternal life.
In closing
This commandment is not just about killing, but also of anger which is the root of murder.
