Following Christ Can Create A Division in People.
Luke 12: 49
- Jesus came to bring fire.
- Fire is also known as judgement which is something thats not to be taken lightly.
- This is the result of sin.
- Jesus was a man that knew his destiny.
- He was human also therefore he was a person who could be acquainted with sorrow and anguish.
Matthew 26:36
- In Matthew it expresses that Jesus was sorrowful but He wanted to do The Father's Will.
- Jesus was seemed to be like a rebel because he broke the laws of the Jewish leaders.
- Jesus brings the fire to tell apart what is right from wrong and through that brings division among the people who choose to follow him and the people who don't.
- Jesus wants our allegiance to Him and wants us to be loyal and honour Him.
- We need to understand and know that life is not easy because of all the distraction and influence there is in the world. but we need to continue to make decisions to follow Jesus.
- We are where we are to do great things.
Hebrews 4:14
- In our time of need, we need to look for Jesus first!
- Jesus chose the life of suffering, to live with the poor and the rejected.
- We need to live a life like Him and follow Jesus.
It may be hard living in the ways of Jesus, but that is what makes us set a part.
